2001 150 johnson stall after sitting

boat runs great when I first get on the lake but after it sits for a period of time (2 hours ) it will start but than stall on take off, once I get going it runs fine
it seems to be getting worse

My 99 gt200 does the same thing. Any resolution yet?

We had some issues with this and ethanol gas. Try ethanol free gas first.
In 1999 the motors were really leaned out to placate the EPA. It is not legal for a shop to do this, but I have heard of some guys richening up the carb a little. Now, I've never done that myself, of course......

Mine was also fuel.
