84 & 81 60 hp lower unit

trying to find out if a lower unit off a el60ci will fit on a el60cr? i know the part number changes for the lower unit from 81 (#0390777) to 84 (#0392196) but i'm not sure what the difference is. anyone got the straight info please chime in or contact me at " sroberts7@mac.com" thanks

Yes 1980-1988 use same gearcase.
