I just got this motor as an accessory with the boat I just purchased. It was originally on the boat but supposedly the owner ran it out of oil, so then he purchased a 150hp and put that on immediately. I am happy with the 150 on the boat, but was wondering if I could get this 175 fixed and maybe sold. The bad motor has less than 50 hours on it, and was put in the crate the 150 came in, back in 2004. Now I have it. If this motor was indeed run out of oil, then I'm guessing a new/rebuilt powerhead may be in line. Would there be any other problems with this motor beyond that??
