Which ignition switch would be appropriate to order to replace the original (it has 6 posts).
The wiring Kit which included the ignition/primer switch I'm trying to replace was P/N 174961. Any ideas on switch number

i dont know which switch number you need but check into other manufacturers. i had a chrysler force that used a mercury ignition switch. i know this isnt answering your question but talk to your dealer and find out for sure.

What style control box are you using?

The ignition switch mounts in the dash. The throtle/gear shift is a seperate unit mounted in the boat. Does this answere the ?
