2000 Johnson 115/80 Jet power loss

Motor starts out running fine. Full power and strong. The problem seems to occur after going over choppy water or over shallow shoals. At this time, the rpm's drop in half. I have replaced the power pack, plugs and fuel filter and lines. Any ideas?

Check your wiring. It almost sound like a wire is not getting a good connection. Make sure you are not overheating the unit too.
