1999 Johnson 25HP model 25402M - Correct Fuel/Oil mixture Ratio

To all - sorry for such a basic question ,but I have just bought a Used 1999 25 HP Johnson and have been using a 50 to 1 Fuel/Oil mixture ratio but still have a lot of blue smoke . What is the proper ratio of Fuel /Oil ? I don't want to lower it to 100:1 for fear of seizing the motor but the 50:1 ratio I have been using seems to have too much blue smoke ? Can someone help me out ??Thanks Steve

Your are ok at 50:1 ratio, premix 2strokes are going to smoke. Plenty of smoke is a good thing.
