Considering purchasing this boat. Owner says runs great, but the oil warning light is staying on. He says it is smoking, and runs good, so he "knows" that it is getting lubrication.
It is mounted on a 19.5 Stratos. Does this engine have a VRO pump? I looked under parts and could not find one on the schematics. What could be the cause of this. If it does have a VRO I would replace when purchased so as to take "no chances." How does it lubricate?
Before I purchase I will do a compression check. I am told that 90 - to 110 is good with all cylinders being about the same? Is this so?
Thanks
Jim
