1982 Remote Control dead man

Hi there. Geez wish id known this place was here before.

Question for anyone out there.
Is the dead man switch on the remote a normally open or normally closed switch, thanks.
My suspicion is that its a normally closed switch allowing current to pass through when the plug is on, cheers

Hello Firestang!!! The safety lanyard or "kill switch" is normally open when engine is running and closed to kill it. The ignition system uses ground to "kill" the ignition packs when turning engine off and open for engine to run.
