I just purchased a 25hp 2002 Johnson that I beleive has a bad water pump impeller. I have unbolted the lower unit and it drops down about an inch but I am unable to get it to separate completely. Suspect that something like a shift rod connection is hanging it up. Any suggestions on how to further separate the lower unit?
