I have a 1989 Johnson 150 hp outboard that won't shift right. When I adjust the cable by turning the adjuster at the motor it will shift in forward ok but won't shift in reverse. When I adjust it back it shifts into reverse ok but won't shift into forward. Acts like the cable is about 1/2 inch too long. Is my cable bad?
