1972 johnson wont fire have questions HELP!!

I just got a 72 johnson i think it is elestric shift but it wont fire to pluge it did ser 20 years but was covered and lookd clean and was told it ran great when shut off father got sick and it sat ever since need advice on spart tracing

You didn't mention what model it is but with no fire it could be bad key switch, wiring shorted, trigger coil, charge coil, CDI or ignition coils.
