I can't get the kill switch on my 1983 25 johnson (manual crank, not electric) to work. It's quite a pain to disconnect the fuel line to get it to stop. the switch looks clean -- all copper contacts look good. wires coming from the switch look good. so, i'm assuming (but haven't tested for certain) that the actual switch is shorting across those contacts and that the problem is downstream of that. But I don't know. the wiring diagram doesn't help me much. Any help would be appreciated! thanks.
