My 1986 110 hp Johnson will run perfect at high rpm but runs rough or stalls after running and then coming to a stop. When restarting, I can push the key to energize the starting solenoid and it will pick up. And when trying to take off from idle it stalls when giving it more throttle if it is done slowly but will take off if throttled up quick. I hope I am explaining this well enough to get some help.

Your mention of, and I quote (copy/paste) "I can push the key to energize the starting solenoid and it will pick up."... indicates that fuel is not passing through the carburetor(s) properly.
However, always check the compression and spark (spark plugs removed) first as a routine trouble-shooting procedure.
What is the compression psi reading of the individual cylinders? Close to 100 psi or 100+ psi and fairly even on all cylinders?
Does the spark jump a 7/16" air gap with a strong blue lightning like flame... a real SNAP!?
If the above two area are as they should be... remove, clean, and rebuild the carburetors as needed.
