My 2005 115 Johnson four stroke dies down to and idle after running at high rpms for about a quarter of a mile like it it running out of fuel. The strange thing is you can immediately switch off and restart any run another quarter of a mile. This is without reprising or anything. There are no alarms! I have change high pressure filter and water separator along with changing bulb ang draining fuel thank and vsr tank there is no anti siphon valve. It seems like when you switch off and back on is resetting something

Johnson 115 problem
Just got boat out of shop seems to running fine. What they did doesn't seem to make sense considering symptoms.they decarb engine increasing compression, ang clean sticking idle air control value. Have not been able run motor for extended time yet. One thing that may have been the actual problem a local boat mechanic thought it was the key switch witch I lube before I took to shopComment
