hi all I need to replace my stator on a Johnson 96 200 hp ocean runner model j200txedr I have the black stuff melting under wheel and motor cuts out now when hot and charging volts are up to 17.5 v when running at about 4000 rpm
I have flywheel puller,tork wrench , and new stator ? is is there anything besides removing flywheel , stator holding bolts, stator wiring and then replace all the same and re tork that I need to do . heard I should check magnets under flywheel. but do I need to worry about anything like timing? or anything else
