Good evening everyone,
Just joined today and am hoping someone can give me some insight. I have a 2004 8hp 4 stroke, and today while running, I got a bunch of white smoke all of the sudden. I pulled the cover off and noticed while running, I had oil literally draining at one point off the bottom of my carb. The oil is definitely coming from the breather tube that comes from the back of the engine to the top of the air intake.
What can I do to figure this issue out? could the reed valve in the breather assembly be stuck or is this going to be a bigger issue?
