Removing Lower Unit Johnson Outboards
I am attempting to remove my Lower Unit to replace the water pump. I need HELP!
I have removed the shift linkage. I have removed the Four bolts under the flange. I have removed the two bolts under the Trim Tab. Now .. nothing. The lower unit does not appear to budge. Slight movement (tiny) up front. Rear appears to be stuck solid.
In the youtube video it looks so EASY, as if the lower unit just FALLS OUT on it's own. Not here. Not now. Not with me at least.
Any helpful advice? Is there another bolt somewhere? Is there a secret to getting the thing to budge? Is it OK to PRY the two sections apart, maybe with a putty knife?
