Hi. All I have been working on my Johnson and decided to install a new rectifier , The new unit has 1 red wire and 3 yellow wires I installed it then I noticed the old unit has 1 red wire 1 plain yellow and 1 yellow with a blue tracer and the last looks like a gray tracer. All the rectifiers I ever installed had 3 yellow and 1 red and I have always wired yellow to yellow from the mag. and red to the red hot wire. What have I missed here? Thanks for any help from jerrywf. Got the thing figured, I have the right rectifier installed. Thanks for all the help.
