need a lil help. have a 2000 2hp johnson direct drive outboard. it has always started on 2nd pull.2 months ago it ran out of gas and some crap was blocking the line out of gas tank. cleaned the tank & changed the plug and went thru and cleaned carb.worked great next 3 times out. last sunday went to lake and it would not start. new plug today, new fuel filter and it started on 5th pull and ran great for 25 minutes. turned the fuel shutoff to off and let it run dry. would not start for 20 minutes or so but finally did start and ran good for another 20 minutes. has spark and fuel..... stale gas maybe?direct
