1974 johnson 115hp " need help"

1st problem is ..
On a very cold morning (30*) , It will not fire at all. No spark, but once I take cowl off and temp warms up it will fire up. ?
2nd problem is...
Got out on river today and it ran like a raped ape, for about 1-2 miles. Then all the sudden it acted like you pulled the throttled back bout half way then it bogged down to a complete shut down. confused again?

The motor is on a 1975 StarCraft 18' aluminum deep v. 4 new plugs, new stator, fuel pump , fuel lines. Run bout 32mph with 3 guys in it. So plz help Thanks

Limited info . . . but have you considered pulling the carbs off and doing a TOTAL Cleaning ? ? ?

Age and type of fuel may cause problems if at freezing Temps?
Are you running any type of additive in fuel? If any water is in fuel, cheaper stations have been known to include moisture with each purchase. Same with many ethanol vendors.
The only other effects of freezing temps, would be for the battery.
Have you checked/ cleaned/ replaced any inline filters that may have collected water in them? If they have water in them, and they freeze, then that can affect flow of fuel.

If the problem is only spark related, then you may have a sensor, or switch that may be going bad?
