I've had this 100esl72r for six years; ran great for the first four, but have had an issue for the last two. And NO one seems to want to fix it but me. The shops I've taken it to.... never mind, not interested in raising my blood pressure venting here!! Why I didn't investigate the problem myself isn't relevant at this point, either.
Anyway... bought this motor for parts from the scrap yard - it isn't stolen, they ran the numbers. Imagine my surprise when I pulled the flywheel off!!!
Can you guess the model year? it's a 115esl70d ooops! just told ya!
45/6 years old and never been spun! At least, no more than to fog it.
They broke one of the lifting eye bolts loading it
She's a bit dirty on the outside - the cowling has been off, probably for a good while. I haven't had the chance to do anything to it yet. Definitely a priority, just other life stuff going on....
No indication a prop's ever been on it, either; never mounted etc... Had it chained up (Python) in back of my truck until I had time to build a stand. It was totally not in my plans for this!!!!
PS: the pictures in back of my truck were taken a month ago and the rest of them last week; not in 1970.
