I am reinstalling the head on my 1971, 60 HP Johnson and it has been recommended to me that I use an anti-sieze compound on the head bolts but also, if I do, to reduce the specified torque by about 20%. So iNet searches indicate a variety of opinions on whether one should use this approach, and if so, the reduction in torque (values range from none to 40%) with 20-25% being the most common.
So looking for collective wisdom here on yes /no and if yes, how much.
Thanks
