I am trying to repair a vintage Johnson Seahorse outboard motor, but can't find info about the condenser('s). I found a great 1922 to 1964 manual at Boatinfo.no, but it only shows earlier and later models than the one I have. I think it shows every model EXCEPT mine. The wires coming from the points, that I would assume should go to a condenser, go under the plate that holds the point and coils to a terminal on the speed control lever in the front of the motor. Before I tear that apart to look for a condenser, I thought I would ask if anyone knows something about this? See image SeaHorse1
Also, I found a 1959 Seahorse that barely runs and has a home made float, for $100. Should I buy it? See Image SeaHorse 1959
