Greetings folks. I purchased a 2000 9.9 Johnson 2 stroke outboard brand new back in September of 2000. I had the dealer convert it to a 15hp before I ever took delivery of it. My question is how can I tell if it has the 15hp carburetor and not just bigger jets installed? I wish to order a carb kit for it but I'm not sure if the kit is the same for the 9.9 and the 15 and I don't know which carb I have, is the number that's stamped on the outer carb housing a possible way to identify if it's the larger bore 15hp carb??
