johnson 30hp using lots of feul Bj30balcub

I have an old johnson 30hp outboard Bj30balcub which starts well but is using a lot of fuel and when started on moorings there seems to be a lot of fuel coming out of the exhaust outlet onto the water any help please

You should check if motor is running too rich (check how plugs look), or if float bowl on carb is over-flowing and dripping down into Cowling. Also check if any fuel lines are leaking into Cowling.
