2000 Johnson j25jrssb. It's set up on a 17ft aluminum flat bottom, tiller steer, pull start. I'd like to put a battery for lights. What else is needed so I can charge a battery? It seems to have the stator already.
I'm not sure if your stator is the right one needed.
You'll need to compare your stator to another 25 model that has electric start. Also compare the rectifier/regulator, and wiring. You'll probably have to have the wire harness the electric start motor has, or make your own harness?
