Hello,
I have a 1971 125 hp Johnson outboard that decides to lose spark when it feels like it. Seems okay on short runs (1/4 mile or less) but long runs seem to make it lose spark. It will start afterwards but only when it feels like it. Twice I got spark back after pulling a plug and checking for spark, don't know if that's a clue or not. Think it's the notorious black box syndrome?
