Can you help me identify this Johnson motor?

My son and I are refinishing a whaler and it has this Johnson 40 on it. I guess it is mid to late 80s. I can't read any of the serial numbers. Trying to get some parts and thought maybe someone here might recognize this engine from sight.
Would be great to know model and approximately age. It is electric start and manual lift.
