I have been trying to find if this motor has VRO?
Where is the oil kept/stored? Or do you mix your own?
I got a manual that includes 65-300 HP, 1992-2001 motors. The diagrams show no vro or mention vro switches/connections, nuttin.
If you must mix your own, what is the ratio?

I have a 2004 115 Johnson and VRO on mine was removed. The mixture on mine is 50:1 or 16 Fluid oz to 6 gals of fuel.

I have a 110 Johnson vro. The oil tank has been disconnected and now I add outboard motor oil to the fuel at 1 pint of oil to 6 gallons of fuel or 50-1 mixture ratio. The engine smokes more but runs fine

The model J115TSLEUA shows no VRO. It came with a regular fuel pump. You mix your own @ 50:1, or 2.6oz TCW-III oil per gallon of gasoline.

This lack of a VRO is not all bad. Although I use one myself, the VRO gas & oil pump has somewhat of a checkered reputation in terms of reliability - although they are better today than they were 10-years ago and way better than they were 30-years ago when they first came out. Just to be on the safe side I mix 100:1 in my gas tank in case my VRO fails me. I can then cut my rpms and idle home with no damage, if need be.

Incidentially, VRO stands for variable ratio oiling. But that is not true today. The latest versions are fixed ratio at 50:1. Thus, today they are called "Fuel/Oil Pumps". However, the name "VRO" is so ingrained in our minds that everyone still calls them by that nomenclature.
