  • 1971 johnson 4hp weedless

I will be looking for help with a 4 HP johnson outboard "weedless" model.
This motor has been sitting for more than 10 years. I asked someone who knows a bit about small motors about it and they said I could start by seeing if I had fire from the plugs and then see if starter fluid in the carbarator would make it turn over. I tried the spark plug test and found only one plug made a spark. After taking the flywheel off I found the points but now I'm not sure what to do or what I'm looking at. I did replace plugs and and tried the starter fluid, and could not get anything out of the motor before removing the flywheel.
Any insight or help with this would be appreciated.

What do you use to clean the points?
      Thanks for the advice.
