1992 Johnson 50 prop shaft carrier seal

I ordered seal kit 0433550. My question is the seals for the prop shaft carrier seal number 0321467 (2 pcs) are replaced by a one piece seal. My question is the seal is not the same on both ends and need the information is how should it be installed. It came with a sheet for the direction of install , but it is not very clear. Can anyone help?

That part number is for the drive shaft seals and no they did not superseded to a single seal.

The kit I got was from Boats.net and it noted that the 2 piece seals were replaced with a one piece seal. The kit contained the one piece seal that is similar to the function of the 2 piece seals.

Ok I haven't seen that sheet, a single double lip seal would work.
