We just bought a pontoon with a J50PLSRS and cannot get it to run. It sometimes turns over and we can manually throttle it a bit but it dies shortly after. Only once allowed us to rev in neutral. Replaced battery and fuel pump squeeze ball as last one had a hole in it. Put in 8 gallons of 88.5 octane gas on top of about 1/8 of tank of fuel from previous owner. Cleaned plugs as well. Any additional thoughts on steps we can take to get her fired up and running?

Check compression to see if all cylinders are even, check to see if have spark at all plugs. May need to remove and clean carbs.
