When the boat is up to a decent speed (for say pulling a tube) the speed just keeps increasing. The throttle lever does not move but engine speed just climbs. Could this be a problem with the the throttle, the controller?

Can you control the speed by pulling the throttle back a little once it gets up on plane?

The boat speed climbs uncontrollably when the throttle is at about a 45 degree angle. When I pull it back a bit (10 to 15 degrees), the boat slows and remains at a consistent speed. Basically, everything is good for the first 45 degrees but out of control at 45 degrees plus.

Do you have a tac, what RPM is the engine turning when running away on you?
