  • **Compression test results***

    Good evening fellas,

A couple months ago I put a down payment on a '98 21.5 Seaswirl Striper w/ '98 Johnson 200 hp Ocean Runner pending bay test.
I had the bay test today and the boat ran well; 55mph wide open, proper RPMs but I am having trouble accepting the results from the compression tests I ran (both prior to the bay test & after.)

    The results are as follows:
    Port Top: 85 85 85
    Port Middle: 87 87
    Port Bottom:85 83 83

    Stbd Top: 95 90
    Stbd Middle: 96 92 95 93
    Stbd Bottom: 90 88

I do not know much but the #'s are lower then I expected and the range larger then I expected. Any advice is much appreciated. Thank you!

Cylinders should be within 15 % of each other and they are within range, warm engine test will be lower than cold test.
