76 Johnson 25 HP fires up but won't stay running NEED HELP PLZ

Don't know much at all on these things just starting to get into it. The motor was running fine when I got it first time I put it in the water it fired up right away I went to the dock killed it by pulling out the choke and it hasn't started since. It fires up but then automatically dies

By pulling choke to stop engine you flooded it, check choke on carb to see if stuck closed.

The choke moves open and close when I pull the lever how do I fix a flooded engine?

It would start after sitting for a while, check to see if has spark on all cylinders. May need to remove and clean carb.
