coil wire

Feel like an old dummy but, here tis, how do I put together (assemble) an after market coil wire for my 85 Johnson.....Help... it came with 2 boots and 2 springs, 1 boot is obviously for plug, bare end is I guess for the coil the 2 springs,?? does 1 go into the (carbon) wire , used to be carbon wen I was a kid, then over the boot

Push spring tip through wire and bend tip over against wire then push boot over spring.
