I have a 1972 Johnson 100 hp outboard...the ignition switch crapped out...bought a new one...the wiring terminals are different..bought a factory service manual with wiring schematic to hook it up...doesn't tell me crap! I need to know where the wires go on the new switch....when I took them off the old one, they just exploded everywhere..lol. Couldn't take them off one at a time...and like a dufus, I didn't write it down first! Anyone have a schematic on what wires go where? Thanks

Anybody? Can anybody point me to a wiring schematic for this ignition switch? The one in the FACTORY service manual doesn't show anything even...all the letters on the tabs in back aren't assigned to the colors of the wires or anything..."A" "B" "C" etc...need to know this...thanks

I don't have a manual on that model but the manual you have should the wiring diagram to indenify wire colors, normally the switches has B for battery, S for starter circuit, C for choke, A for accesorys or 12 volts key on, I or M for ignition.
