1998 johnson 130. i have been trying to diagnose a rough idle issue i have. its rough in low rpm but as soon as i speed up a little its like hitting a switch...it smooths out.
yesterday i primed the fuel bulb ...it got hard and the motor ran ...still a little rough at idle
today i pulled the fuel line off the bulb on the motor side. i pumped the bulb a bunch of times to shoot fuel into a plastic bottle to see if i had water in it (no water). now the bulb is soft. when i pump it again it takes a bunch of FAST pumps to get more fuel out. if i stop it empties ...but when i was pumping i noticed that air was being pulled in through the discharge side of the bulb.
is that supposed to pull air the opposite way of the fuel direction?
can this be the source of my rough idling?
