Hi All, my first post here. Specifically this issue is why I joined but look forward to making connections and keeping my 60 running strong for years to come. So, here is the issue.
For years, my pontoon has been plagued by electrical issues. I've fixed most and had the motor running strong. However, after replacing the starter and starter solenoid, I began delving deeper into the wiring, as I was not getting switch power TO the starter solenoid. After many frustrating days (and long, long nights) of troubleshooting, I'm relenting. All of the wiring diagrams I have found show a single yellow/red wire going to switch power for the solenoid from the ignition. However, I have TWO yellow/red wires which were connected to my solenoid. So, what is this other wire? Does it belong attached with the other yellow/red to the solenoid? All the other wiring seems to be correct, but this one wire is a complete mystery, and as stated does NOT show up in any other diagrams which I have found to date. Thank you in advance and am willing to follow up with additional info as needed.
