Leaking carb bowl

Is there a way to make the plastic carb bowl leak proof on a 1990 150 Johnson? I tried sanding it flat but it did not work. Thank you, John

If float and float valve are good and not over filling carb bowl then it is time to replace carb, sometimes you can't get them to stop leaking.
