Johnson 18HP circa 1960's. Missing the fuel pump.
I have several vacuum pumps as used on snow & dirt machines.
I need some info about a carb-vacuum-line for a new vacuum-fuel-pump.
I Googled and found the rare OEM pump mounted to the top-cylinder "plate" (which is fuel-loaded).
My un-drilled plate has never been removed. The OEM paint is intact. I'm afraid of broken castings from 1960 !!!
The off-road guys ask "can't you drill into the carb somewhere ? Or, make a 1/4" thick carb-plate drilled for a vacuum pipe ?"
Any help is appreciated.
FYI: I also Googled where to drill a "pee-hole" in the thermostat plate.
