1987 Johnson 25 hp low idle spitting problem

Hello & I can only hope I'm in the right place on here but I have a 1987 25 hp Johnson 2 stroke & when it is mid throttle or below it starts spitting & dying & such.I have made every adjustment that I know of to fix the problem.Everything I have read leads back to the reed plate assy so I changed it & still got the problem.I fixed a couple of small fuel leaks & rebuilt the fuel pump & still hve the problem.The manual say to sync the fuel & ignition but the code pic does not look like mine so I really don't know if I sync it correct.Anybody got any answers? Thanks in advance.

May be running too lean, could have plugged low speed jets or passages in carbs, carbs out of sync or a air leak in intake manifold.

Well I cleaned the carb & put new gaskets on intake when I changed the reeds but it cud still be that I suppose.
