1994 Johnson 30hp model J30ELERM

I am brand new here I just got a 1994 30hp Johnson model #J30ELERM it looks brand new inside and out not even a Scratch or a chip on the motor or prop only thing I can see missing is the yes silencer box I don’t know if it needs one and any help getting this back in service been in storage many many years

No that motor never had an air silencer mounted to carb. No need to worry about it.

Is there anything special I should look for before trying to fire it up or just give it a wirl

No that is very reliable engine, just use a 50:1 oil mixture and either connect it to a flush adapter or run it in water.
