2006 Johnson 9.9

Hi all, new to the forum and a new Johnson owner. I was wondering if anyone has any advice on my motor. I just bought it last Friday. It looks almost new. Took it out on the water and its running great all day. Starts on half of a pull. On my way back to the ramp I'm running wide open and all of a sudden it just slowed down and comes off plane? I then throttled it back and it died and did not want to fire back up.

Day 2 - I put it on some mufflers and it fires up and and runs in gear? I can still tell it didnt start as easy. I then decide to take it to the ramp and test it. Fires right up but will not go past a dull idle with the throttle wide open. I loaded a video of it in you tube. See link below.

Check compression. Check for water in fuel, check that have spark on all cylinders.

Thank you for the reply.

Can't be water as I use only non-ethanol fuel. And I think with it still being able to start so easy the compression would be good
I was thinking something electrical????
