starter solenoid

Good afternoon. I need help. I have a 81, v4, 140 Johnson seahorse, model j140tl. This is my problem. For the last last year, I have replaced my starter solenoids 6 times. It would last 10 minutes before I must bypass it to start my engine. My mechanic and I have looked for loose wires or bad grounds and can not find any wrong. Looking for help. It is being killed on the first turnover of the engine. When I say turnover, it would start but when I cut it off and attempt to restart it, it died.

need to check current draw of starter, may too high and need new starter.
