  • 86 GT150 - air silencer gasket fuel leak

Fuel seeping from air silencer cover. I notice it more when motor is tilted up (slightly) for trailering. Should I just expect fuel to seep between the air silencer cover and gasket?? I’ve replaced the gasket several times so not sure what to do or what else to look at to get it to stop. Thanks

Remove cover and make sure carbs are leaking gas when tilted, if they are then remove and clean carbs with new carb kits. You will get puddled gas inside silencer, there should be a hose connected to back of air silencer to recirculate puddle gas back into crankcase. Make sure hose is attached.
