1969 Johnson 55hp settings

I just replaced the throttle cable on my 55hp 1969 Johnson (55ESL69) outboard. I have a Selco Johnson/evinrude outboard repair manual. What I need that I can't seem to find is the starting point of the idle adjustment screw, throttle cable adjustment point,etc. Any help or where to start from would be greatly appreciated!!

Adjust throttle cable so that it returns carbs to idle position, then adjust idle speed to 800-1000 rpms in neutral.
