50 HP 2 stroke questions

Recently acquired a boat with a 2 stroke 50hp. Motor doesn’t have the year stamped on it. I’m trying I get a manual and wanted to make sure 2003 and 2004 are the same motor.

Also, the motor won’t trim in gear, any ideas?

Somewhere on that engine should be a plate or a heavy duty decal that contains the model and serial number. We need the model number to identify the engine.

Look on the block for a core plug about the size of a quarter. Post those numbers on here.
