My 1998 SPL motor has a wiring problem. The starter engages and starts the boat but the bendix continues to spin, then the motor quits. I bought a new ignition switch but on closer inspection noticed the wiring harness was cooked ! Why ? Why isn't there a fuse protecting the circuit and how do I fix it ?
