  • tilt & trim motor

i have a 1996 200hp outboard with the fast track system
was getting ready to put boat in the water and started to raise outboard
when it stopped going up about 1/2 way T.T motor would run up/down from both the cowling switch and throttle switch but it would not move the piston up or down.
went back next day to look at it and now the T.T motor does nothing
    checked main 20a fuse,limit switch,and 12v going to T.T motor all good
also can hear relays cliking when i hit the switchs
anyone have any idea whats wrong and is there a way to send 12v to the T.T motor to see if its the problem or not
    thanks john

    jumper

Just read where you can run a jumper straight from battery ,2 wires ,blue and green ,one is up the other is down, and some have a 3 rd black wire ,thats the ground .Double check this but thats what I understood from the article,I'm also having a problem with my 115 Johnson, and i'm thinking it's low on fluid and can't locate my manual to find where and how to refill .so I'm searching here for a schematic ,good luck with yours.....

you should have a permanent magnet motor. to make it run you put positive to one wire and negative to the other. to reverse direction, reverse the polarity
